Job Referral Systems & Promotional Services
The Guild offers both formal and informal job referral systems. JOBline News, a weekly publication of the New York Chapter, is available by subscription. The publication includes national job opportunities for both freelance and staff in all areas of the graphic arts. Other job referral systems offered by Chapters are tailored to meet the needs of the geographical areas they serve and depend on the structure and character of the Chapter. Several Chapters maintain informal systems and publicize opportunities via email or a newsletter regarding positions referred by members or clients. Encourage your Chapter to contact local art directors, design firms, and other potential clients to let them know they can contact the Graphic Artists Guild for referrals.
JOBline News
JOBline News, a growing and thriving weekly newsletter published by the New York Chapter, consists of freelance and staff job listings from across the country. Companies range from corporations to small studios, in all areas of the graphic arts: art direction, cartooning, computer art, education, graphic design, illustration, production, studio assistance, and Web design. Quantity and locales vary weekly. Advertisers have included Bozell Worldwide Advertising, J. Crew, F & W Publications, Go.com, Peachpit Press, Thirteen/WNET, Time Inc. magazines, Toys "R" Us, U.S. News & World Report, and many more! JOBline News also lists agencies, business services, calls to entry, Chapter events, exhibits, and seminars.

Subscription rates:
Members: $55 for six months (24 issues)
$80 for one year (48 issues).
Nonmembers: $80 for 6 months
$105 for one year.
Full time students
(must provide photocopy of current, full-time student ID):
$40 for 6 months, $55 for one year.
Educational Institutions: $350 for 6 months
$475 for 1 year
Corporate Rates: $475 / 6 months
$695 for 1 year

Web Portfolio
Displaying artwork online expands an artists marketing potential, clientele base, and employment opportunities. The Guild offers you a way to display your work on the Web on your own Portfolio Page. For $10 a month (12-month minimum), plus a $30 one-time set-up fee, your Portfolio Page can include personal contact information, 10 images, and a choice between a free homepage with a link to the Portfolio Page, one free link to another Guild members homepage, or 500 words of text to describe yourself and/or your work. A less expensive optionif you already have a homepage elsewhereis to have your name listed and linked from the online portfolio to your existing homepage. (The first link is free, and each additional link is $50.00.) For more information and to enroll, contact Ammon Turner at 212.791.3400, ext.107, at the National Office. We will send you a Virtual Portfolio Guide that will explain how to prepare your files for the server.
